The purpose of the this study was to evaluate the anamnesis, signalment, clinical and laboratory findings and surgical outcome of calves with atresia coli. Twenyt two calves have been used as materials. Lateral celiotomy (n 14) and median celiotomy (n:8) were performed. Ten calves out of 22 survrved after operative approach. It is important to conclude that survrval rate depends on time passed after birth afong with general condition of calves. Intensive care is also essential before, during and after the surgical intervention in the treatment. Suitable segment of intestinal anastomosis may be a (actor in the succes rate.
