Out of 1083 lungs examined, in 273 cases (25.2 %), macroscopic lesions were detected. Histologically, pneumonias were classified as follows; 1. Catarrhal-purulent bronchopneumonia (0.5 %), 2. Necrotic bronchopneumonia with abscessation (3.2 %), 3. Interstitial pneumonia (1.8 %), 4. Verminous pneumonia (11.8 %), and5. Pulmonary adenomatosis (7.9 %). There was no relationship between isolated microorganisms and the pathological lesions</abstract>

              <title language="eng">The arteriel blood supply of brain in angora goats</title>

arterial blood supply of brain in Angora goats. In this
study, ten heads of Angora goats were used. In the
investigation of the materials, latex was tnjected through the carotid comman artery.&lt;p&gt;
The brain is supplied with the internal carotid artery
arising from the rete mirabile epidurale rastrale that is
formed by maxillar artery, not with branches of the
vertebral artery, condylar artery and meningeal medial
artery.&lt;p&gt;
Giving the cerebral medial artery, the internal carotid
artery continues as the cerebral rastral artery. The right
and left cerebral rostral arteries are connected by means
of the communicans rastral arteries. The corporis cal!osi
artery arises from the connecting angle.&lt;p&gt;
The marginal artery runs in very strong dura mater
sheath and it gives the ethmoidal internal artery.&lt;p&gt;
The communicans caudal artery is the caudal extention
of the carotid internal artery.&lt;p&gt;
The basi/ar artery is formed connecting the right and
left communicans arteries.&lt;p&gt;
The basilar artery gives the medullar and paramedian
branches.&lt;p&gt;
The basilar artery continues as the spinal ventral
artery on the cauda/ part of the medulla oblongata.&lt;p&gt;
The labyrinthine artery arises from the cerebellar
caudal artery.</abstract>

1-3 were used. The required blood for haematological
analysis were taken from v. cephalica antebrachi or v.
saphena parva.&lt;p&gt;
In this investigation, the mean of red blood cell (RBC),
white blood cell (WBC), blood platelet counts and me an
of hemoglobin amaund (Hb) and hemataerit values (PVC)
in ma/e Kangal dogs were fo und to be 5. 60x10&lt;sup&gt;6&lt;/sup&gt;,
10.22x10&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt;, 3.17x10&lt;sup&gt;5&lt;/sup&gt;/mm&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt;, 12.56 gldl and 42.64 %
whereas the same values in female Kangal dogs were
determined to be 5.76x10&lt;sup&gt;6&lt;/sup&gt;, 9.66x10&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt;, 3.06x10&lt;sup&gt;5&lt;/sup&gt;/mm&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt;,
15.43 gld/ and 52.43 %, respectively. On the other hand
the same values w ere fo und to be 6. 09x10&lt;sup&gt;6&lt;/sup&gt;, 9.47x10&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt;,
3.13x10&lt;sup&gt;5&lt;/sup&gt;/mm&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt;, 15.32 gldl and 47.11% in ma/e German
Wolfdogs and 5.17x10&lt;sup&gt;6&lt;/sup&gt;, 8.85x10&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt;, 2.87x10&lt;sup&gt;5&lt;/sup&gt;/mm&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt;,
14.00gld/ and 40.80 % in tema/e German Wolfdogs,
respectively.&lt;p&gt;
The Mean Corpuscu/ar Volume (MCV), Mean Corpuscular
Haemoglobin (MCH) and Mean Corpuscular
Haemoglobin Concentration (MCHC) in both dogs
anchestory were determined higher in temale than
male.&lt;p&gt;
In this study, band neutrophiles, polymorphnuclear
neutrophiles, lymphocytes, monocytes and eosinophiles
were determined as 2.00, 66.56, 22.35, 4.36 and 4.73
% in male Kangal dogs, whereas the same values found
to be 0.86, 65.43, 26.43, 3.43 and 3.86 % in female
Kangal dogs, respectively. On the other hand, the same
values were fo und to be 1.28, 70. 44, 19.28, 4.39 and
4.61 %in male German Wolfdogs, 0.70, 65.50, 24.20,
4.30 and 5.30 % in female German Wolfdogs, respectively.&lt;p&gt;
The values of the erytrocyte sedimentation rat e (ESR)
at 30 th min, 1 st, 2 nd and 24 th hours in Kangal dogs
were determined higher than the German Wolfdogs.</abstract>

resembling Rinderpest, was diagnosed as a result of
elinical and pathological examinations, in calves, in october 1991. in Konya.&lt;p&gt;
Total of 9 specimens, including 2 mesenteriallymph
nodes, 2 spleens, 2 buffy coat samples and 3 nasal swaps
was obtained for virology testing from Rinderpest
suspected calves.&lt;p&gt;
The inoculation of specimens to Foetal Calf Kidney
(FCK) cell cultures, showed that, 4 of the specimens
of the 2 mesenterial lymph nodes and 2 nasal swaps
was positive for cytopathologic effect (CPE).&lt;p&gt;
The histopathologic examination of specimens with
CPE in cell cultures, revealed intrastoplasmic and intranuclear inclusion bodies.</abstract>

to determine the incidence of liver abscesses and the relation
of stomach lesions to abscess of the liver.&lt;p&gt;
The following results were obtained;&lt;p&gt;
1- Among 1577 beef cattle examined from February
1990 to March 1991, 30 (1.9%) had liver abbcesses. Of these,
rumenitis-liver abscess com/ex in the 21 (1.3%) cases were
shown.&lt;p&gt;
2- In the stomach of 30 beef cattla with liver abscesses,
rumenitis in the 12(40%), hyperkeratosis of the rumen in
the 4 (13.3%) and traumatic reticulitis in the 9 (30%) cattle
were seen. But any lesions were not observed in other 5
(16.7%) cases.&lt;p&gt;
3- Bacteriological examinations were not conducted.
However, the histological appearences of liver absceeses
were similar to those developed due to F. necrophorum.</abstract>

with enterilis infections and seventeen calves, with
pneumonia infections were usedin thes study. Clinical
and laboratory examinations (Serum total protein, albumin, globulin and plasma fibrinogen levels, leucocyte counts and PCV), microorganism identification and antibiolis
sensitivity and Glutaraldehyde test were performed.&lt;p&gt;
The differencies between albumin and fibrinogen rate
of healthy calves and calves with enteric infections were found mo re significantly (p&lt;0.01 ). The differents between albumin, leucocyt counts and fibrinogen rat e of healthy and calves with pneumonia infections were found more
significantly (p&lt;0.01 ). Results of study showed that elinical findings, microorganism isoiate and GA test, albumin, fibrinogen and leucocyt counts could be mo re significant (p&lt;0.05) in the diagnosis of enteric and pneumonia infections.</abstract>

examine sheep pulmonary adenomatasis in Konya region.
A total of 1083 lun gs taken from various breeds of sheep
w ere macroscopically examined and in 86 cases(7. 94
%) pulmonary adenomatasis were detected.&lt;p&gt;
Grossly, affected lun gs were enlarged and infiltrated
with grey-white are as of tumour which vary from discrete nodules, measuring 0.2-2 cm. to extensive tumours with a shiny, trans/ucent pleura. Microscopically, epithelial cell proliferation, often ina papillary pattern into alveoler spaces were seen. Profiteration of bronchiolar epithelium
and intrabronchiolar tumour masses were also detected.&lt;p&gt;
In 14 cases abscesses and in 10 cases parasitic
nodules were seen in the adenomatous tissue.&lt;p&gt;
In two sheep metastatic lesions were found in the
mediastinallymph node.</abstract>

was deseribe d. Mixed tumor and papillary adenocarsinoma of mammary gl and, intrahepatic cystic cholangiocellular adenoma, vaginal fibramatosis and nodular hyperplasia of spleen were detected in a 10 years old setter bitch.&lt;p&gt;
This case was the first report on multiple primary
tumors in different organs of dogs in Turkey.</abstract>

intestins de 1569 moutons dans le but de preciser la
propagation des infections d&#039;Anoplocephalide chez des moutons abattus dans l&#039;abattoir de I&#039;Etablissement de Viande et Poisson. Parmi ces moutons 6.3 % etaient infectes par fes especes d&#039;Anoplocephalide. Parmices especes M. expansa tatalisait 5.48 %, A. centripunctata
0.63 %, 0.44 %M. benedeni et 0.25% T. ovilla.&lt;p&gt;
Ona observe 86.86% de M. expansa, 10.1 %de
A. centripunctata, 7.07% de M. benedeni et 4.04% de T. ovilla. Chez fes moutons infectes on a decouvert une seule espece dans 87.87% des infections, deux especes dans 12. 13 % des infections. Les infections dues a une seule espece avaient une propagation de 76.76 % pour M. expansa, A. centripunctata 9.09 %, et 2.02% T.ovilla. Les infections dues a deux especes
M. expansa et M. benedeni 8.08 %, M. expansa etA.
centripunctata 2. 02 %, et M. expansa et T. aviila 2. 02 %.&lt;p&gt;
On a trouve des scolex de 1 a 17 chez des moutons
infectes. Ona s1gnale 3.51 en moyenne de scolex pour chaque mouton.</abstract>

divided into two groups of 3 animal each as a control
and experimental groups were u sed to evaluate the effect of phlorhizin-induced ketosis on plasma and rumen fluid riboflavin and niacin concentrations. The me an pH values  and the counts of protozoa and bacteria of the rumen fluid in experimental group did not change significantly (p&gt;0.05). Alteration of plasma riboflavin concentration in experimental group w as not significant (p&gt;O. 05). Whereas both plasma and rumen fluid niacin concentrations decreased from 5. 03 mc gl ml and 9. 53 mcg/ml to 2.39 mcg/ml and 2.41 mcglml respectively and decraements in both plasma and rumen fluid niacin concentrations were significant (p&lt;0.05).</abstract>

of the donkey was investigated macroanatomically and
subgrossly. For this purpose, eight donkeys in different
sexes were used. The results showed that one animal
had tour, five anima/s had five, two anima/s had six lu mb ar
vertebrae. Therefore, the significant differences in both
the formatian of the Jumbosacral plexus and the sp ina!
nerves arising from the plexus were alsa determined.
On the contrary, there were no significant differences
in the course and distribution patterns of the spinal nerves
arising from the Jumbosacral plexus among the do&#039;nkeys
studied and alsa between results of previous workers
who have studied on the horse.</abstract>
