A total 20 healthy dogs were used in this study. After premedication, the hair was clipped from the skin in the region of the occiput and the first cervical vertebra. The site was aseptically prepared for introduction of the needle.

The dog was placed in right lateral recumbency at the end of the table. The head was held by an asistant. After these applications the injection of region was done by the needle and the spinal manometer was put on to the needle and CSF pressure was measured. After the measured of the pressure of CSF, spinal manometer was taken out and 5 ml CSF was taken in a sterile tube. CSF Ma, K, Ca, Pi, GO T and ALP values were measured in each samples.
