Macroanatomic Investigations on the Branches of the Aortic Arch in Kangal Dogs

In this study. the distribution of the aortic arch was investigated in thorax. In this purpose, twelve kangal dogs (different sex), were used. It was determined that two vessels, left subclavian artery and brachiocephalic trunk, arised from the subclavian artery then, at the level of the medial of first rib, costocervical trunk left the subclavian artery after originating of the last artery one centimeter later, left subclavian artery gave off cervical superficial and intemal thoracic artery. It was seen that internal thoracic artery give branches a. pericardiacophrenica, rami thymici, rami mediastinales, rami perforantes, rami intercostales ventrales, a. musculophrenica and a. epigastrica cranialis at the level of the third sternebra and the floor of the thorax.
